Tell me a national leader that is both strong and experienced that has actually performed well for the country recently. I completely understand the obvious hunch that the experience should equal competency at leadership but from what I view, it seems to end up being the opposite. As far as strength, I hope you're not equating macho with energy because we've certainly seen where that's gotten us in the world.
My guess is Obama appears weak because he's had to absorb so many groundless attacks over and over. I think that would wear on anyone. When the reason for the attacks though is that he scares the entrenched power base, it feels to me like he's fighting his balls off. Maybe then the tired appearance can be viewed as a badge of courage and integrity. Look at pictures of Lincoln during his term in office and see how the stress of the challenges he faced wore on him physically. I did see Obama in a basketball game the other day though and he looked pretty fresh and in shape. Not sure I'd want to see Hillary play.
