my theory is that this whole thing is staged and if it's true, it comes with considerable sacrifice on both parts if the motivation is what's good for the country.
I think Obama and Wright hatched a good cop, bad cop plan and just executed it flawlessly. Wright would go so far over the top that he'd give Obama the justification to end the relationship publicly with the only bus throwing being done by Wright against himself.
The sacrifice is that the two of them must have no relationship at all during Obama's term in office but at the end of it all they can share a drink together and laugh at the idiocy of the press.
The feedback I'm seeing from African American participants on Kos is that their anger is directed at Wright and that Obama was completely justified to renounce the man.
This one will be talked about in history if it manages to get Obama elected.
