The gas tax suspension is just another gimmick to impress the yokels, like the tax "rebate" checks. Sadly, I doubt economic savvy has anything to do with Obama's positions.

The demands to release oil from the strategic reserve are ridiculous. Most of this reserve was filled at well under $20 a barrel and would have to be refilled at current prices. Still, it is useful to see which politicians are the first to make a run for the seed corn.

Hillary is hitting the inevitable endpoint of a person who has absolutely no fixed principles other than winning office. She has collapsed into full "Zelig" mode, becoming whatever any given audience wants to see, and in the rapid succession of election season, it's almost surreal.
