And none of that matters now.
To say McCain has racist ties and then white wash Obama's racist views and ties is total hypocrisy. When you excuse Wright, then Duke is no big deal. When you excuse Meeks and Farrakhan, then you lose all credibility to use the race card against McCain.
This is why Obama will go down in history with the likes of McGovern, Mondale, and Dukakis. As someone in Kentucky told me, "Around these parts, we sing "God Bless America". That applies to most areas of this country. "God Damn America" just doesn't play well to the vast majority of Americans.
