Frost
I wonder if the probe will last long enough to see first signs of heavy frost accumulation. I know that the Vikings saw some frost in their vicinity, but they were nowhere near the poles.
If I ran NASA, I'd poke the lander next spring just to see what happens when the sun hits it again. Sure, it'll be as dead as a doorknob, but what the hell.
