Not everyone knows what that means :)
Myself, I raced motorcycles one year, back in '94. I successfully completed my novice year and then I started building my house. Every time I turned around I was writing checks in amounts that would fund a seasons racing, including the bike.
In '96, I took the California Super Bike school when they came to Seattle and rode their zx 600's. They never came back. I think the road course at SIR was too hard for them.
I have to stop myself here or this will end up pages long that no one but me will read. But one last anecdote. The school was all about cornering. One of the exercises was trying late entries into a turn and picking the 'turn in' spot. Turn 1 is a big left sweeper at the end of the drag strip that you take WOT. After a very short strait, down a slight incline is turn 2, another left with a slightly decreasing radius.
Anyway I'm coming up to turn 2, looking for the best place to turn in and, long story short, an instructor passes me, lets go of his handle bar and turns around and points to where I should turn in.
It' couldn't have been more humbling. He might as well have been eatin' a sandwich...
