I'm so sorry
When I read your post, I had to dig out my old HP calculator and press the buttons just to reassure myself it's still among the living. It's so old that the nameplate's fallen off, but I'm pretty sure it's a much earlier version in the HP48 series. Got it circa 1985 from an HP salesman trying to peddle their first network-attached laser printer.
I've gotten lots of free crap from salesmen over the years, but it says something about the company that HP used to be that that calculator's the only freebie I value. I'll miss it when it's gone.
