A lot of anecdotal evidence has appeared on this board in attempts to make a point on this debate, but it is rarely identified as such. Since I'm not a climate expert, I am forced to rely on the "argument by authority", in spite of all the dutifully delivered caveats provided by my high school teachers. The "axe-to-grind" warning is also dutifully considered, as long as the axe is a realistic one, and not a thinly disguised conspiracy theory.
