100% tax-free disability AND a Senate salary (and pension)?
$58,000 tax free for disability while working as a Senator, able to make a living, a good living? If that were a poor person Conservatives would be screaming "Welfare Cadillac"! That person would be a poster child for reform.
If he can work as a Senator one might want to look at the extent to which he's disabled. I think it's a fair question. And clearly there is an abuse of the system. I know a few disabled vets who are not getting nearly, not even close, to that and they are disabled. Unable to work. Not making $400,000 a year.
