I don't know if that was deliberate or not.
The question is how disabled McCain is given his record of earnings and activity. He was back at work as a pilot, usually one of the considerations in determining disability. And his employment after that has demonstrated an ability to earn a living.
The fact that he endured torture as a POW entitles him to a lot. Can't begrudge him that. The issue is how disabled he is, or isn't.
