Fear as a political weapon

This administration has used fear to mislead and bully us into war, into allowing them to violate our rights and laws, into allowing them to get away with blatant abuses of their power... And every time someone stands up to them and says "ENOUGH!" they get accused of 'helping the terrorists'...

Considering what the Left has done with the issue of global warming in recent years, no honest liberal should be able to bring up the idea of using fear as a political weapon without embarrassment.

You say global warming is real. Well, so is terrorism, and the war of radical Islam against the West. If one side has used fear of an irrationally bloated threat as a political weapon, well, so has the other.

The Left has used this fear to "mislead and bully" us into curtailing our economy, our freedoms, our national sovereignity, and our choices and lifestyles, while increasing their own power. And you've seen what happens to people who have said "enough" on the climate front.

The parallel is so obvious you would have thought it would stick the last time I pointed it out.

I do believe McCain would do better in the military conflict than Obama would. You may rightfully counter that Obama would do better with climate change.

It would not be incorrect to note that some radical climate incident, or some weather disaster that was (correctly or not) attributed to global warming, would work in Obama's favor in the coming election. Just wait and see what the Democrats say if, God forbid, there's a major-damage hurricane this summer.
