You're lucky it is old news.
It's the Left that's dragging it all up again. I don't think this is going to help them much, since it exposes the shrieking hypocrisy of their views on military service.
Basically, if the Democrat has the experience (Kerry) it's a major plus in a president. If it's the Republican (Dole, McCain, Bush Sr.), it's not only of no importance, but in recent times, even a negative.
