Sounds reasonable to me
You make some pretty good points. Obama has time now to continue the dialog, listen to people and weigh options. Why would he *want* to stake out an intractable position at a this point? That's more of a conservative approach. They put too much stock in decisiveness, and not enough in good judgement.
