Form carpentry is a little different.
Your're assembling or building the forms that concrete is poured into, usually around tied reinforcing steel rods or mesh, and then vibrating the mud until all the voids are out of it. Pouring slabs or footers also involves a lot of trench digging and leveling, using temporary wooden structures to provide the form the mud will be spread over or into. It usually involves a journeyman or master form man and a handful of grunts to do the digging, pounding and scraping. The old timer does the leveling and measuring work. There's no way today I could do that in the hot Florida sun for eight hours a day the way I used to.
