fighting for their rights...and to a large measure succeeded
thanks to the US Constitution,

Native Americans obtained the right to vote in 1924.
Tibetans don't have the right to vote...
neither do 1.3 billion people under the same flag.

How many lawyers does America have?
Plenty...And they push their weight around
thanks ot the US Constitution.

Does China have a Constitution?
Yes....But it is a worthless piece of paper.

OTOH, in America, abuses against the Constitution, such as the establishment of Gitmo
and arbitrary antiterrorist laws and practices, are vigorously
challenged in American courts by numerous lawyers.
And American lawyers do have REAL effect...
And American courts do have real POWER to overrule abuses against the Constitution
and Bill of Rights.

Does China have lawyers?...Yes...
But they are paper pushers and window-dressing
with no real influence over Chinese law and politics.

The Chinese courts?...Are no better...And those courts
push their government's TOTALITARIAN AGENDA in China.

is your enemy...why aren't there secret agents smashing down your
door and hauling you away never to be seen again?
