re: What ARE they saying? Inquiring minds want to know.

Most recent and fairly mild entry:
How about thou shalt not commit fornication?....hence, the temptation will not be made between being pro-life and pro-choice. That should be the core of the debate, avoiding premarital sex and not being pro-life nor pro-choice. How did Sarah Palin allow sexual infidelity into her household? What happened to conservative core principles of premarital sex. Teach a child the law of the lord and he/she will not depart from it. When a child is taught the fear of the Lord or to love the Lord with his/her whole heart, mind and soul, he/she will yearn to please the Lord in all areas of his/her life.
then there is this:
It's important to remember that Sarah Palin is a woman who, while eight months pregnant with a child known to have Downs Syndrome, started leaking amniotic fluid and still chose to ignore it to give a speech; as if that did not demonstrate a dangerous lack of sound judgment, she then chose to take an eight-hour-long flight from Texas to Alaska, followed by a 45-minute drive to a small and relatively ill-equipped hospital in her home town, where her baby was delivered a month premature.
Despite all of this, she returned to work three days after the birth, leaving Trig to the care of his grandmother and teen aged siblings (who have been under their grandmother's care themselves since their mother was elected governor).
Baby's father or not, this child has no business getting married and her parents should recognize that. This is irresponsible behavior that goes far beyond not supporting one's daughter being on birth control and trusting her to make the right choices when her father's job requires him to be absent for weeks at a time and her mother is too busy trying to run a state to raise her own children.
Is this what the Palins and McCains regard as an example of good values?
And some of us would argue, John, that if Sarah Palin really is the voice of morality that everyone seems to think she is, she and her husband probably should have been paying attention to what her daughter was doing, where she was doing it and who she was doing it with AND making sure Bristol wasn't having sex at all until she was married.
I cannot believe the hypocrisy I'm hearing from the right on this. If this were happening on the democratic ticket, the right would surely be up in arms over the lack of moral fortitude on the left. I supposed we have all known moral fortitude has nothing to do with politics; it just sounds real nice when running for office.
She doesn't even have control of her children and her household. And she wants to be a heartbeat away from the presidency? Conservative or not, she is a bad choice. Poor McCain-he must be slipping. She needs to go home and take care of her children. Of course we all know that women can do almost anything a man can. But should we? I think not.
