Why should I have to get all reverent and misty-eyed when I'm talking about these yahoos? Have you ever heard what they're hoping will happen to me in the afterlife?

Beside, I can't act possessed. I don't believe in that nonsense.

To put it in a more serious mode, to find awe and wonder in the mystery and beauty of the cosmos, and to wonder what our role and purpose is in this magnificent universe is proper and right and is the correct response for a human mind and spirit. But to believe all this was put here for our benefit and to provide us with a way to cheat death is arrogance and conceit of the highest order.

The purpose of spirituality is to ask questions, not to provide answers.
