ALL the Republicans I know, and have known......vote that way strictly because of their "taxes", thinking the new President will keep them low. It is done as a priority because they want to protect themselves and their investments. You can't blame them really. That's all they really seem to think about.

Then, you get people like GW who lower taxes on the wealthiest, loosen the regulations and the rich get richer, and the poor get poorer and that's the way this country goes. And has gone. Money is funnelled to their buddies in the banking and defense and reconstruction industries and wars are fought to increase those private interests and forays into international economics. It also keeps the American public OUT of their business, while they write the new rules.

Whether I have money to protect or not, kids to raise or not; I don't want a hot headed 73 yr. old anywhere near being a CIC or the nuclear red button, especially one who was tortured and beaten for several years by an "enemy" decades ago. One who is self-effacing and lives his life as a millionaire smoozing special interests. One who has a Creationist and pro-lifer as his VP, who has absolutely NO knowlwdge of international politics. She's a figurehead, and one that can be manipulated easily for all those "right" reasons.

I'm sorry, but I don't see any "good" coming out of these two, just four more years of the SAME and maybe worse. McCain is a warrior and warriors make war. Men at that age with that power have NOTHING to lose, not even their egos.
