re: Can't speak to that point, but...

I have to tell you, we are seeing signs of that here in Asheville.
For some reason, there is no gas, and when a gas truck DOES come in, there are lines several blocks down and the police are directing traffic. There have also been fistfights and altercations.

Some people's cars are already stranded and we're all wondering why the neighbouring large cities like Greenville and Marion have gas and we don't. They've already cancelled after school games and school closings may be next. Don't think that if supplies don't get here, we won't be "three meals away from a revolution".

I called my kids last night and told them to stock up on canned goods and paper goods.
Get some cash out of the bank and fill up some extra five gallon gas cans.
IF I can find gas next, I'll try and fill up my gas cans, if they'll let me.

It's a little unnerving. Collapse of a polite society could happen like dominoes.
