What the Republicans are doing is fighting the "socializing" that Bowser is screaming about, and trying to develop a way for market forces to work us out of this. I'm not sure their ideas are good ones--I'm still looking at it--but they're trying to keep the Congress from doing something stupid. So are some Democrats. We're in this now because Congress did a number of stupid things to "fix" market forces.

Do you LIKE the Paulson plan? Do you like the billions in political loot the Democrats are trying to tack on?

One of the hallmarks of a bad deal or a con is when the salesman tells you that the offer is only good if you snap it up right now, no time to sit and think about it. Sound like anything we're hearing out of Washington?
