Most of what you think you know about Palin is crap, but we'll leave that be.
Do you honestly think I'm stupid enough to believe that the greatest worry the Democrats have about Palin is what happens if she takes over when McCain dies? Are they that certain that McCain is going to win and then immediately die?
Or did she simply hit them someplace they weren't prepared to be hit?
Your side picked someone for the top of the ticket--that's "top"--that has little more in the way of qualifications other than millions of deluded people declaring he'd be the greatest president ever. That might win him an election, but it doesn't make him presidential material.
Good God, he lists his campaigning experience as something that qualifies him.
Or maybe the whole Palin thing was about distracting people to start with.
