Actually...

...we will see lots of hair pulling. If your portfolio is stock heavy, you will be pulling hair and shouting - even if you do believe in capitalism. Personal financial losses of sizable amounts are hard to ignore.

The free market will balance itself. Even the stock market will bounce back far faster than most think after the scales have finally found equilibrium.

Being depressed about market drops doesn't help. In Germany, after the banks failed at the close of the war, those with the most sometimes believed they couldn't live without it. Some learned they could rebuild their financial worth, others suicided, still others learned to live happily without it. Germany & Japan rebuilt and in TEN years time became the envy of the industrial world. In today's America - we have a hole in the ground where the WTC used to be - 7 years later.

Why? Bureaucracy and too much government interference in private sector matters.

We can be like the Germany & Japan of the postwar years - hungry, ambitious and with a work ethic like no tomorrow.

Keep your spirits up, the best America is yet to come!
