Give a Conservative an army and they'll invade someone.
It's in the genes. They just can't resist it. It's not their fault, really, they simply have an irresistible urge to spread democracy and peace.
If there is no threat, they'll make one up. Panama, Grenada, Irag. Armies are like Rolls-Royces. If it's paid for, and just sitting there, why not go for a drive?
