What has marked Palin's previous appearances was an interviewer who was not afraid to take her first statement and then try to keep her on track. On her second or third dodge her ignorance became obvious.

I believe Ifill was afraid to try to keep Palin on topic for fear of being accused of bias. Her book had made her vulnerable and as a result the first and only VP debate went down the tubes to a woman who bragged about her intention to stay on her shallow message and not on relevant topic.

Biden, on the other hand, has displayed an extensive knowledge of the issues. As McFly said, Biden could teach the classes Palin needs to take. (After she takes a few preliminary courses.)

I suspect I know what Ifill was thinking when she continued as the moderator after the book became an issue, and it's not flattering.
