Millennials, aka Generation Y
I'm starting to reread both Bloom, who after all deals with literature, not civics, and Strauss & Howe. A new book out works from the Generations theory, and I can see from my own children (2 Xers, 2 Millennials) that the pattern appears to be holding. The title of it is Millennial Makeover: MySpace, YouTube and the Future of American Politics.
If you're interested, you can watch the authors talk about the coming generation's possible future. The link goes to BookTV: click on "Watch now". It's somewhere between 60 & 90 minutes.
