As I pointed out the way it MIGHT be done, and has been suggested as a factor in the Bobby Kennedy assassination, would be to limit or minimize protection. Excuses for this could be budget limitations, foreign dignitaries visiting, Bush travelling all could be used to limit available manpower and to move the perimeter of protection inward. Fewer people would be searched, etc.

And then just wait for some nut to take advantage of the situation.

While I believe there are folks within reach of the Feds who would do it, I do NOT believe the Secret Service would.
