If a plutocracy is the American Idea, it's past time.

But Bush's legacy is that we all are going to be paying the rich for their poor judgement for generations.

Why isn't providing children with preventative health care, thereby prolonging and enhancing their lives, considered as much a matter of national security as blowing hell out of an Afghan village?

So-called "entitlements" are the major jobs of a nation, not funding missile shields with no noticeable defensive purpose. (We came through the Cold War without a rocket fired in anger.)

That guy's "American Idea" is his greed.

Let me give you an idea. As head of a financial house before becoming Treasury Secretary Paulson made $700 million. Does he deserve that? Does he need that? Is it good for the country as a whole for Paulson and his ilk to loot the country?

Clearly no. Good riddance if it's gone. And where these folks find their shills is beyond me. Suckers.
