re: Flat earthers tend to be shunned as well...

"As I've said before, I'm happy to bet money that the per-decade increase in the next decade will be over twice the per-decade rate of the 20th Century."

Are you saying twice the highest per decade increase of the 20th Century. Or twice the average per decade increase of 20th century. Obviously these are different numbers.
And obviously the problem is how one measures it and perception in general. I'm sure some people are still claiming that global temperature has risen in last decade-
people in charge of the IPCC have been doing just that recently.
Next, you want to use measurement which include areas affecting by UHI affect, and guys that confusion Oct temperature with Sept temperatures.
I think that Satellite measurement is the most accurate for global temperature. But there is also different satellite measurements which don't agree.
Etc. Etc. Etc.
[Do you require citation for what I'm saying? And would it make *any* difference if I did do this?]

"Natural explanations of why cyclic warming would accelerate after 150 years of prior warming are a crock. Given how warm it is now, the expectation should be for slowing, not acceleration. "

Do you agree that there are a lot of glaciers formed in the Little Ice Age, that still exist today?
In which some predict *might* melt away within the next couple decades or 50 years [or whatever].

The problem with betting you, is you don't see the "now" so why should I expect you to see the "now" in the future?

So, what I'm actually betting on is whether types like Al Gore will be still raving about global warming 10 years into the future. And he will, even he were covered in a mile of ice.
