I was the one that raised that issue.
And the original topic was irritation at being hit up twice every time one enters certain stores. The Salvation Army has access to the United Way, which was set up to avoid that sort of thing.
Having seen some of their operations I doubt very, very much that they are any more efficient than most religious charities. Which are notorious.
