I am certain you believe Democrats have been more corrupt than Republicans during the last 8 years. I'm as certain that there is nothing that could change that perception.
You could see it when Bill Clinton lied about a relatively innocent matter. That was obvious to you. I'm also aware that you believe Bush when he says the US doesn't torture. So you'd score that 1 liar for the Ds, 0 for Conservatives.
I'm aware that you can read of an innocent group of Afghanis being attacked and slaughtered and not regard it as a war crime. That the detention of innocent people without charges for unlimited amounts of time is a legitimate function of the US. Can't relate. Tough. They shouldn't have been in the wrong place.
But if the government may limit your use of incandescent light bulbs in the interest of reducing dependence upon foreign sources of energy you are being abused and your rights violated. Now there's an issue which will stir some emotion. You can relate to that one.
If there is a just God and an afterlife, I believe it is those disparities which God takes some time to point out before a soul can move on.
