Every society has it flaws but are they always flaws?
Gattaca film is a good example of a society ruled by money the DNA is only part of the problem should only people with the money be allowed to have extended lives one could argue that vurrent is true in respectof food and general health care.
What if money does not drive our goals (Startrek to name but one example) probelm with this is would you be willing to give up your wealth or advantage in life how many of us give money to the world health service I saddly do not.
Bio fuels - if we had a choice of running a car or feeding one person for a year what would you chose?
Gas / Petrol - If you knew for certain continuing to use your car would damage crops in the end would you carry on doing so ?
Ride a Bike - Well even this has enviromental concerns the resources it is made of.
In the end with everything we are a parasite to the planet and each other we really need to bring balance and try and be a heathly parasite in the end. but the balance brought by 2081 would never exist something simler was tried at least once by the Khmer Rouge (year zero).
All I say is what I know - If everyone rows on the same side your end up going in circles.
Regardless story is interesting but needs more to make it good.
