And not to long ago, the ideas of dark matter and dark energy would have been banished from the Space Board.

A bit longer, the concepts of quantum mechanics would have been moved if not deleted (if the Board had existed.) (Both a wave AND a particle my ass!)

Earlier than that, any mention of Einstein's theories would have been hooted off the Board.

And the thought that maybe the Earth revolved around the Sun would not only have been derided, the person who suggested it would have been tracked down and bad things would happen to them.

Please don't misunderstand, I do not believe aliens are responsible for anything around here except maybe in a Panspermian sort of way. I don't believe in ghosts, para-anything, or psychic anything. I think horse whisperers have the same credibility as dog whisperers. I think dog whisperers are intuitive. As intuitive as a goldfish whisperer.

But I do think it's interesting that every once in a while yesterdays biggest follies are today's truths.
