By which dumping huge amounts of government money into the economy so people can pay taxes with it solves the deficit.
We're still operating on the theory that giving Joe Sixpack money to buy a TV made in Japan grows our businesses. (Okay, maybe Best Buy.)
For the record, I wasn't in favor of Bush's cash dumps either.
Until the beginning of 2008, the deficit was steadily going down.
