While preaching individual rights, the last eight years have seen Constitutional rights eroded and eliminated. Bush can hold anyone for as long as he wants incommunicado, the Feds are spying upon people legally and illegally, torture is routine. Virtually unlimited governmental power over the individual at Bush's whim.

Very much like their fiscal policies which are the opposite of what is claimed and which are to unbalance the budget as much as possible, their human rights and civil rights policies have been universally designed to give the government as much power over the individual as possible while claiming to want to lessen it.

Glad you are making this break with them. It's about time.
