I may be all wet here...
..but I remember when I was in Paris in 1972 . My teacher warned us that French people hate Americans...so it would seem that this is an on going problem.
My initial thought about foreigners hating Americans is because USA is the strongest country in the world.
Jealousy?
I know it sounds like an over simplification.....but maybe that is *the* bottom line.
Many Liberals want to see the rich knocked down a peg or 2....is hating the US any different when it is all said and done? They want to see the US knocked down a peg or 2 or 3 or 4....
It is the nature of the beast.
