It was a big story three years ago. It's one of those things that pops up again as "news" when somebody thinks it needs to pop up again, or maybe when Woodward needs new publicity. I already had the al Qahtani interrogation file in my bookmarks from a long time ago.

As I mentioned in my post on waterboarding, the word "torture" has now been redefined out of existence, since it's now used to mean anything at all that makes a prisoner uncomfortable.

So now exposure to cold, isolation, or bright lights is considered equivalent to running a power drill through the hand, breaking bones, and removal of limbs.

Just as one example, compare al Qahtani's interrogation log with what McCain went through. If these are equivalent, the discussion becomes meaningless.

And Qahtani was not one of Bowser's "farmers."
