I hear they're still looking for one of the engines, which apparently came off the plane. Whether this was from the malfunction, or impact, remains to be seen. Such a plane is perfectly capable of flying on one engine, but I don't know about the scenario if you lose one (most large plane engines are designed to break off cleanly under sufficient force to keep the wing from tearing).
