We laid off 20% of our staff today...
Painful to do as a business owner and entrepreneur, but you do have to prune the roses from time to time. I took the time myself to talk to the guys and tell them we'd give them good references, but it's not the same as giving them ongoing jobs! I just regret that the two guys we chose both have problems interfacing with society, but they weren't contributing enough.
Recessions hit the less-capable much worse.
What sort of society will the future be?
