I once saw the crescent Venus with 7x50 binoculars

Just barely in the morning twilight two summer ago, but it was not an optical illusion.

I am sure some ancients saw the crescent Venus with their non-light-polluted skies and vision unworn by countless hours of staring at a computer screen.
