Hear what Conservatives preach. Small government, balanced budgets. Democracy. Capitalism.
See what Conservatives do. Huge government, enormous debts. Every subterfuge in the world to avoid democracy as much as they can, from signing statements to spying to the "Patriot Act".
And as for capitalism. When they were faced with the choice between living with their principles and accepting responsibility for their risk-taking or money they jettisoned the principles and took the money.
I know Conservatives want to be judged by their rhetoric, and even by their intentions. And a rational world judges by what is done, not the flowery nonsense spewed forth in an attempt to camoflauge it.
Capitalism got thrown to the wolves, under the bus, and off the train. One can either see that or drown in their own propaganda, trying to deny, ignore, abandon. One is intellectually honest, the other isn't.
Few things in politics are simple. Reading the bottom line in this is.
