Conservatives are kind of cute about the bailouts. A bit like the neocon who asks a Progressive to lunch. The liberal says he's not hungry, reluctantly agrees to go along. The Republican orders a 6 course meal, absolutely stuffs himself. Afterward our Conservative Republican awkwardly puts his hands in his front pockets and tells the waiter to hand the check to the Democrat.
The check sits there while the stuffed Republican says, "No, I'll get it. I asked you to lunch. It's not right for you to pay. I insist. It's mine. Give me the check." No move to take his hands out of his pocket.
The liberal has absolutely no chance of getting out of the restaurant unless he pays so he does. Hands now out of pockets, on the way out the bloated Republican picks up the change and the tip while saying
"It's no right for you to pay. I could have done it. You really should have let me." Smirk, belch, scratch, fart, prouder smirk.
Not even any thanks for the banquet.
One way to tell you Conservative Republicans are responsible is to watch the way you proudly deny any responsibility for what the public record shows you caused. Absolutely typical, and one can't expect anything else from you.

Support a neocon agenda for 8 years, then claim "It wasn't really me."
