re: Windows 7
I don't know what it uses in the background ( Windows 7 builds on Vista builds on XP builds on 2000 builds on NT4 etc etc )
BUT - using just a simple Netbook (1.6ghz Atom CPU, 2gb Ram) - Windows 7 was faster, less annoying, and far easier to navigate around than Vista has ever been. They can call it Windows 7 if they like. To be honest, it's more like Vista SP2, what Vista should have been. That doesn't bother me. All that I care about is what it's like to use.
Fact is - Vista has never been considered an option in our production office or on my home office workstation. We're still on XP, and will be until Windows 7 SP1.
