Ah, that's what we're up to. I forgot about that vengeful side of me that I revert to when I want to live in abject poverty.
Yep, we want the Bill Gate's of the world to have to be in lines at the soup kitchen. That was our plan all along.
Could it be Tom that you just don't listen? Nobody wants the rich to give it all up. They simply want the maximum number of yachts one can own to be in single digits. There'd be no need for redistribution of wealth as you call it if the tremendously greedy of the world didn't feel the need to not only have their share but everyone else's as well.
I actually enjoy knowing there's a class or so above me that I can reach for. When members of the top class control everything though, something's seriously out of kilter. You get bristled when you feel someone on the left is bought and paid for and yet you have no derision for the people that are doing the paying.
Maxine Waters (and I don't follow her voting record) has absolutely no power compared to the fabulously rich in this country. She has one damned vote, a bully pulpit, some devoted followers, and that's about it. If she's as far left and liberal as you describe, she's not getting a lot of kickbacks from the rich and powerful but yet you hold her up as if she can enact Satanic control over your dominion.
If you want to rail against power Tom, start taking on the military industrial complex where lefties are few and far between. You certainly could find some waste in that bunch. Nah, those guys are scary and it's hard to take them on. Better to rail against the folks looking out for the little guy. They're not armed.
