Faith isn't just a religious thing
Faith is acting on the expectation of something as yet unseen. We orbit space-probes and observatories hoping to see something - often times things utterly unexpected - that we can't yet see. Faith is just going through with a plan with a destination in mind, regardless of how long it takes. Faith will take us to the stars and the technology and space infrastructure that enables that journey will be what will save our species. Or so I believe.
