Dear Marsby,

What my post says it, "According to many, the war in Iraq is won." I did not say that Marsby says it is won, though I do believe you think it is. You leave yourself plenty of weasel room, however, and do have some plausible deniability.

Now, here are some of your fellow Conservatives who believe the war is won. Come to think of it, I think you claim you are not a Conservative, either. So, here are some Conservatives who believe the Iraq situation is won. I think they will fit my description.

Here and

here are examples.

I was trying to point out a real bind the US is in. Is the relative peace worth the investment in people and treasure? Are those contracts for oil worth the past investment in lives and misery and a continuing investment?

Or should the US leave and let the Iraqis and their neighbors sort it out for themselves?

I think those are legitimate questions at this time.

Oh, regards. Many regards, even the highest regards. Thanks for your input. I will put you down as approving the action, and believing the cost in lives, misery and (borrowed) money is well worth it.

Arf (You could have left out the last sentence, Bow. He'll maneuver his way out.)
