The fact that doctors don't participate is part of Browns' appeal. With laws allowing assisted suicide In Washington and Oregon it seems like health professionals could do the deed. Doesn't it?
It's not that much of a stretch. The doctor would be helping the inmate to die. This not so subtle nuance must have been discussed somewhere- either that or the laws are too specific in their definitions to allow it.
