Kings and other such films and TV series feed into fantasies about
wanting to be ruled by "divine" kings and queens. ER summed things
up on this subject quite well below in this thread.
And there is no such thing as just a movie. Even the shlockiest piece
of dreck feeds into our subconsciousness and changes our thinking.
In fact sometimes it is the dreck that does the best job of it.
