One might wonder whether tactics which are successful in themselves but lead to strategic losses are truly successful tactics.
How can it happen that we kill so very many of them, all hugely important, and are still losing? Would a wise man reflect upon his actions in that case?
Is the tactical goal to kill everyone who does not like the US at any time going to be achievable and will it lead to the strategic goals?
Will the "collateral damage", the continuing slaughter of innocents, be like the US response to 9-11, create hatred beyond the success of the tactic?
Many would suggest that tactics are intended to lead to strategic goals. That apparently hasn't occurred to the US DoD.
