Space/Science — HabitableZone

Habitable exoplanets...

...are a good one. Those recent pictures of exoplanets were a 'wow' for me - next step is a snap of a habitable zone planet, or timing data evidence of a HabZone moon.

Room temp Tc superconductors, super-strength ribbon are all good choices.

A battery/ultra-capacitor that stores 2-3 MJ/kg and is verified for all to see.

EM-to-Gravity Wave converter/receiver would be cool - it's been getting a few papers in the arXive.

A mass-converter that uses reverse baryogenesis to make a conherent beam of neutrinos - a near ultimate space-drive.

Personalised stem-cell therapy that allows you to grow your own replacement organs from your own induced pluripotent cells - no embryos, no anti-rejection drugs, and no more degenerative diseases.

Genomics so cheap that it can be done in high-schools and as part of routine medicine - plus interpretative software that makes sense of the data avalanche.

Artificial hippocampuses that feel (think about it...) like the real thing.

Molecular level MRI (or equivalent) of in vivo processes across a whole brain/organ/body - and the computer smarts to handle the data.

Proof of a universally applicable meta/physical pubically observable definition of consciousness - whatever it might be. The recent observation of a cross-cortex synchronous state as the neural correlate of consciousness is a hopeful step in the right direction. Now they just have to solve the binding problem that turns neural activity into a unitary consciousness. Johnjoe McFadden's Conscious Electromagnetic Field theory might be one such explanation. Frolich condensates now don't seem to be.

Non DNA/RNA based life made or discovered. Or both.

Macro-fauna in the ocean of Europa - perhaps found as "dried fish" in Jupiter's rings.

Dramatic confirmation of Edward Drobyshevski's theories about solid-state electrolysis in comet and moon ices - a comet or moon detonates after a minor collision.

Detection of radio emissions from a starship deccelerating with a magnetic sail.

...just a few.
