I had sort of a personal wow moment recently
I was having a relatively effective conversation with a robot telephone service rep. One of the few times my needs meshed perfectly with the capabilities of the machine.
I found that in spite of the annoying, saccarin, condescending tone, it actually worked out well. While I was not speaking to an android as foretold by numerous scifi writers the computer voice was probably as intelligent and helpful as many of the fictional androids.
More seriously, I hear a lot about near term advances in battery technology that may deserve some wows.
